I've taught in some interesting places including:
Augusta Heritage
Bead Society of Greater Chicago
My work is in a number of collections, but I love it best when other bead artists cherish my work. Two of my favourite bead artist patrons:
Valerie Hector
Joanne Strehle Bast
While it sounds like a bit of a giggle, there's truth to my brag of being "Bead artist to the folk stars." I've bartered or sold beadwork to some of my favourite performers over the years. This is a small, but well beloved, selection of favourite performers who like my beadwork:
Phil & Margaret have been some of my favourite people for years. Phil is a hidden treasure of fingerpicking DADGAD delight, and owns the only Celtic knotwork hatband I've ever made. I'm everso grateful that he's not been mugged for it at a reenactment or roundevous! Margaret is my favourite voice in the world, and I listen to LOTS of singers. She's also a visual artist specializing in puppets, and teaching puppet making. They now mostly perform in a trio with Kate Early, who is one of the best joke tellers in the Midwest!
Cooper, Nelson & Early -- Strong Old Music
Not only are this pair some of the most erudite songwriters I have the delight to know, but they both started out as visual artists, with Louie studying with my grad school mentor, Renie Adams. Peter designs their album covers, songbooks and visual materials. Louie is also a very fine beadworker in her own right.
Lou and Peter Berryman
Another beadworking singer who is splendid at both is Sally Rogers. She writes some very fine, very singable songs, too.

Sandy and Caroline Paton have introduced lots more folks than me to the joy of traditional folk music, but I'm still eternally grateful and sing songs I've learned from their recordings anytime I sit down to sing, I think.

Lee is my favourite Great Lakes music performer. His wife, the famous "no E" Joanne is a splendid agent and patron of the arts.
Lee Murdock -- Great Lakes Music
I just gave these folks some of my silly bead stuff. They gave me some of the most incredible songs in acapella format ever. Dang, they're good.
Artisan, English Vocal Harmony Trio
Cindy Mangsen is one of the great voices going in traditonal song. She sings like she's just telling you a story, which sometimes distracts you from what an incredible guitarist she is.
Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen
Anne is a frequent singing partner with Cindy Mangsen. Their duo album, "Never Grow Old" is in my one-box-only take to a desert island selection. Anne is one of those people who just glows with goodness and joy: you can warm your soul with her presence or her singing.
Anne Hills
Bead patrons, fun folks, and the first people I think of when I have to name "who do I know who's sung for a naked audience?"
Hot Soup Trio
One of those people I seldom see, but always enjoy, is Bernice Lewis. She has a very nifty newsletter. You get a new poem every month. Life could be worse.

So where DO I get my beads? Well, I'll tell ya; these folks (below) have been my favourites for years, at least since the early 80s. Back when catalogs were newsprint lists and nobody knew what was what, they organized stuff so coherently that I always had a real good idea of what I was going to get. I've been to both of their locations so far, and looks like they're going to expand again!
Shipwreck Beads - "The World's Largest Selection of Beads"
Some other folks I like a lot, from beadshows and phone conversations over the years. (I go to them for the Japanese beads.):
